Type Pairing for your Brand

Type Pairing for your Brand

I remember doing this type of assignment, but this time it's with my brand title and tagline. Doing it with my brand name made the work more personal and professional rather than another assignment. For line proportion, I combined Agency FB with Corbel. Both fonts are tall with a high X-height and was relatively squarish. There were many fonts that had the same characteristics, but Corbel looks the best with Agency FB. For line quality, I used Agency with Helvetica Neue LT Com. Both fonts had sharp edges and these fonts aren't distressed so they fit well together. The fonts also have zero to low contrast, are tall, and have no serifs. For the historic period, I picked Century Gothic. Century Gothic was created in 1991, and Agency was created in the 1990s. Since both come from the 1990s, both fonts fit well in the historic period pair. For mood, I used copperplate, which has an old yet representable feel. With copperplate, it makes the brand feels more reliable, organized, and experienced. I like an agency with copperplate more than the rest, mainly because I put more attention to it and thought of details. Even though this assignment was more layback than the others, it was still important to find out what fonts pairs best for your brand.
