Image Resolution

Image Resolution

I see two pictures that have different sizes and most likely resolution. I notice that the small picture doesn't look that clear when you zoom in. The difference between 300 ppi and 72 ppi is that the picture isn't clear and most likely the pixels are smaller. I think it's important that graphic designers take ppi in consideration when doing print projects because it will affect their print size and quality of the project, like the pictures given. The standard ppi for a website is 72 ppi, this is probably because any lower than that will make the website look bad. High quality websites are standard in society due to technology and is why ppi is important for web designer doing websites. Images in 300 ppi is perfect for printing for 100% or smaller and will appear crisp in terms of quality. Printing at full resolution usually means printing at 300 ppi, or sometimes 240 ppi which will create great quality compared to 72 ppi. Ppi stand for pixels for second and determines whether a image is going to look crisp or bad in quality. Ppi is important in any project and shouldn't be slept on if you want you work to look good.
